Starla R. is a single parent of a 12 year old Brandon. “ I've been without income since June of 2011 since my unemployment ran out, I was employed at a diaper plant for 8 years until I got laid off, I have several medical conditions that interfered with me working, I have an lung disease called sacordosis that causes me to have trouble breathing I also suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure . I have filed for disability and was denied so I\'m waiting again for another court date. I have been searching for work but no luck, I have asked begged and tried to find any source that could help me until I get some type of income, I went to DFCD for financial help but they said they don\'t give money but did give me good stamps. This has been a very hard time for me not being able to provide for my child not to give him for Christmas or birthday is a hurting feeling when you are used to taking care of your child and yourself.
