Let’s Help This Single Mother of 2 Keep a Roof On Their Heads

Mirella (33) is a single mother of two boys, Iven (13) and Santana (12). “Last year I was so proud that I was able to keep up with the bills and rent all on my own! Then on August 14 while going to a BBQ with my boys we were hit by vehicle totaling our only form of transportation. Losing my car meant depending on others for rides. Days following the accident my ride was late picking me up which in turn caused me to be late and receive a written warning. By the end of August I was terminated after being with my company close to 5 years as a rental coordinator and having absolutely no prior issues with tardiness. I was in unfamiliar territory for the first time in my life single mom, no car, and no job. After the initial shock of being terminated I became obsessed with finding a job. Eight months have past and I have not been offered one job. I am asking GiveLocally.net for assistance because I have nowhere else to turn. I desperately need help paying my rent and utilities. I do not receive child support nor do I qualify for welfare. Currently I am two weeks behind on the rent. My unemployment benefit for a month is $1312 and doesn\'t even cover the $1500 rent. My son’s 12th birthday is later this month and we won’t be celebrating it like we have in the past. It makes me feel sad to think that I cannot provide for my boys .
