In July 2009, Tonya separated from her husband because of his severe addiction. In order to protect her kids, Daniel 7, Ciera 7, Holly 5, and Corinth 4, she moved back to Atlanta to stay with her mom until she can independently support her kids. Tanya is currently in school on a grant to study Health Information Technology. She works part time at a local supermarket. "I am working hard to make a beautiful future for my kids. However, right now, our resources are very limited. I need funds for my children to participate in after school programs in Atlanta, that will enhance them academically and creatively. They need clothes and shoes and we need a vehicle."
