JoAnn G. is the mother of Taylor (13), Nicole (12) and Samantha (2). She currently works as a newspaper carrier. Her car blew up, so JoAnn took what she had saved for her girls and had no choice but to use it for transportation purposes. She is currently “on remission status with my third round of breast cancer but I just do not like to mention my illness because I do not like the reactions I get from people sometimes. I am so scared to let my kids down. I don’t want them to think they have done something wrong because we can’t afford certain things. I don't want them to feel that way. My girls are my strength I want to be theirs.”
