Sean is 53 and has always taken pride in working hard. He has repaired lighting and sound systems for years but can no longer work because he suffers from a disease called hemochromatosis that affects the liver. It does not allow the iron that builds in the blood to filter so his blood gets “like dirty motor oil and starts trying to shut my heart down.” This is a fatal disease if not treated. It also has caused Sean to be on a huge amount of medication because of the damage the illness did before it was diagnosed. Sean is distraught because he cannot take care of his family. He believes he can sustain a semi-normal life if he can afford the treatments for his illness and obtain the much needed surgery on his neck so that he can climb ladders and look up without pain and falling and doing more damage. “ Can you please help get me back to work, I have business and have to say no to it. I do not want to lose my great reputation and all the years I have put into building it. I can work sick, but I cannot work in this much pain. Please help with what you can and God Bless you and your family.” Update: Sean is still in need to pay Medical bills, still can't work due to hiss illness and he is facing an eviction.
They need: Medical treatments and neck surgery; $1000 for rent assistance
